On Sunday, October 9, 2011, a festive fundraiser brunch and silent auction will be hosted by Midwest Culinary Institute (MCI) at Cincinnati State. This year’s event hours are 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, and will feature food and beverages from some of Greater Cincinnati’s best restaurants. Along with great food there will be hands-on kids activities, silent and live auctions all to benefit the de Cavel Family SIDS Foundation dedicated to raising funds toward the eradication of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
"We are thrilled to be part of this event," states Coffee Emporium Owner, Tony Tausch. Coffee Emporium will be providing an espresso cart and a pour over bar for brunch guests to enjoy.
Other participating restaurants include: Daveed’s, the Summit, Chef’s Choice Catering, Cumin, Jean-Phillipe Chocolatier. Orchids, Otto’s, Eat Well Catering, Sung Korean Bistro, Winecraft, Hugo, Queen City Cookies, Keegan’s Seafood, Taste of Belgium. Keystone Bar and Grill, Oriental Wok, Via Vite, Jeff Ruby Group, La Poste, Poco a Poco.
A special de Cavel Family SIDS Foundation Breakfast Blend coffee will be available for purchase through the end of October at all 6 Coffee Emporium locations and at Jean-Robert’s Table. Coffee retails for $13.00, with $5.00 of each purchase generously donated to de Cavel Family SIDS Foundation.
